  • Only One Life

Do you ever get caught up in the busy-ness of school, work, every day activities and distractions? Ever spend time worry about conversations, situations and relationships?
So much that you loose your focus on what really matters and crowd out your relationship with the One who matters most? Have you come to the realization that life is like a vapor, and the worldly  things you’ve spent your time on seem countless and worthless?

~ Time wasted on worrying instead of trusting ~
~  Matthew 6: 25-27 ~ Therefore I say to you do not worry about your life. What you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on.
Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
    Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns;
yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
Which if you by worrying can add on cubit to his stature?
~ John 14: 1 ~ Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
~ Matthew 11:28 ~ Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give your rest.

~ Time wasted on day dreaming ~ instead of waiting for God’s timing! ~
~  Isaiah 40: 31 ~ But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

~ Times wasted on short term entertainment and pleasure ~ that does not last
~ Romans 12:2 ~ And do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is good and acceptable and prefect will of God.
~ Isaiah 40:8 ~ The grass withers, the flower fades but the word of our God will stand forever.
~  Phil.3:7-8 ~  But what things were gained to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things lost for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for who I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish that I may gain Christ.

~ Time wasted hurting ~  instead of advancing the Kingdom.

In Proverbs 27:19 it says “As in water face reflects face, So a  man’s heart reveals the man,
Our actions, attitudes, and thought reflect what we really and truly value -
Worldly pursuits or Honoring Christ with all our behavior.

Its amazing how much just little thoughts can become so detrimental and hindering to our life and relationship with Jesus Christ. This poem says it well.

        Little Things
Watch your thoughts, they become words, watch your words, they become actions,
watch your actions; they become habits, watch your habits, they become character,
watch your character for it becomes your
    DESTINY!

I want my destiny to be one  that follow Christ and honors Him in all my actions and thoughts!
A life that places Christ at the center of all activities and advances His work!

~ Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise, Thou mine inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart, High King of heaven, my Treasure Thou art. ~

Only one life, twill soon be passed, Only what’s done for Christ will last.

  • Jardec

In Loving Memory of Mitchell Janik
Better know to me as Jardec

    Born May 5th 1921
    Died March 15th 2009

Served as a pilot over Germany during World War II!

I'm thankful for all the brave men who fight daily for our freedom. So often I take it for granted that I can live safely and in peace! Thankful for all the  men who lost there lives dying for what was right and taking a stand against what is wrong and evil. I'm thankful for my Grandpa Jardec who fought flew a B17 in World War II. It is so sad today that people criticize true hero's and speak bad of them, while they popularize famous immoral movie stars! The fact is they would not have that freedom if those men did not stand up for their freedom. What a blessing it is when men stand up for what is right and good.

  •     Before January first is over I thought I would wish you all a Happy New Year! I hope it will be a blessed year, even though I guarantee you it will not be easy! I know way to be positive.

As I was looking over some pictures, I came across some from The Rose of Treason and was reminded of that amazing story. And my favorite line of the play came back.
"Is it possible you are still waiting for someone else to do something? Is it"
It was rather challenging, thought provoking and encouraging all at one time :)
How many times do I sit around waiting for my sister or brother to do the dishes?
How many times do I wait for someone else to share the gospel with that unsaved person?
How many times do I wait for someone else to take a stand for what is right?

How many more times do I want to keep waiting for other people to do what Christ commands me to do?
Its amazing how one sentence can really make you think.

What are some of your favorite memories of 2008? You should post some... :) How about some favorite pictures :) I started... to try to pick out my favorite pictures and well lets just it say as Anne Shirley does, I could no sooner choose a favorite star in the heavens. :) So I just posted a few of the many favorites!!

And with that I had better say Goodbye to 2008 and to you all :)

  • So my attempt to post every day didn't work....hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and enjoying the Christmas season. We did something rather different on Thanksgiving we decided to go hiking in the hills in the near area. It was really fun, and quite the exercise...except for the ranger telling us we were breaking federal law for walking on a dried up marshy area. He said because it was Thanksgiving he wouldn't fine us but in the future do not walk on marshes because you could harm organisms under them. The thing that got me was there was no sign anywhere near or posted that it was illegal. Now i know though.

Then on Sunday we drove up and got our Christmas Tree at an old Tree Farm. It was so warm i didn't need a sweater...but it was still fun :) The one we picked was over 11 feet tall :)

Hope you are all doing well! Blessings, Lady Catherine
